You give me goosebumps.

Dear Inspiration,

Your touch gives me goosebumps on a calm spring day.

I feel capable of my innate human potential.

My ambitions expand.

I become willing to suffer for my visions.

The world seems brighter. Softer. More alive.

I walk through ordinary moments as if I’m trapped inside a waking dream.

Ideas flow effortlessly.

Not like a river.

More like a waterfall crashing over me.

My head drifts into the clouds.

And somehow the thoughts waiting there feel infinite.

Almost divine.

I want to exist in its bliss forever.

You narrow my focus.

I confidently choose a lane.

And everything standing in my way collapses into a single word:

Distraction.

And just like that...

You’ve triggered my obsession.

A burning sensation radiating through my body screaming:

Create. Create. Create.

The fire has been lit.

And the work is how I tend to your flame.

I lose sleep because reality becomes more beautiful than dreaming.

I forget to eat because you awaken a different kind of hunger inside me.

“Sorry my family. Sorry my friends.

I didn’t mean to miss all those phone calls,

but something deeper has been calling my soul.

Taking up the line.

Taking up my mind.”

As much as I want you to stay,

I’ve stopped trying to possess you.

I’ve surrendered to your fleeting nature.

So when you arrive, all I can do is stay completely present.

Not wasting a timeless second.

Because the moment I break eye contact,

I can feel you slipping through my fingers.

Leaving as mysteriously as you came.

I’m not scared.

I’m not cold.

Yet somehow…

You still give me goosebumps on a calm spring day.

Stay creative,

Way Walker
